Privacy Statement for RealGame Services |
Your and your students' privacy is important to us
RealGame Business Training (RealGame) is committed to protecting the privacy of users of its services. We comply with data protection legislation and good data protection practices defined by EU legislation, and our servers are located in EU. RealGame needs to process personal data (email addresses, names) in order to produce services for the users. This privacy statement describes the practices concerning the collection and processing of personal data at RealGame.
What information do we process?
We process information that is necessary to the purposes specified in this privacy statement. We collect personal data during registration of users (Teachers/Operators, simulation Participants). Alternatively, the Teacher may enter Participant data in our system, or the Participants may self-register to the system. In all cases, the same data and privacy protection principles apply. Note, that RealGame can be used without entering data that would identify the Participants. The decision whether to enter data that would identify the Participants (mainly email addresses) is made by the Teacher. The system can be used without entering Participants' email addresses, but then delivering Participants' login names and passwords needs to be done manually by the Teacher.
The information you as a Teacher/Operator provide to RealGame includes Teacher name, employer organization, email address, and telephone number.
The information the Teacher may enter about the Participants or the Participants themselves may enter in the self-registration process include Participant email address, name, and organization (university or employer).
Information derived from the use of services include simulation sessions created by the Teacher and simulation session in which the Participants took part. Also the IP address information from the Teachers' or Participants' simulation system logins and session time and duration is saved to the RealGame system.
What is the purpose of us processing personal data?
We process your personal data in order to provide the simulation services to you. Teacher personal data is processed for user identification in the system login process. Teacher personal data is required in the identification to provide the Teacher the following simulation services: creating simulation sessions, entering Participants to simulation sessions, and running simulation sessions. Teacher data can also be used to send customer information and newsletters to Teachers in email. In the newsletters we inform about new features of the simulation and how to operate these features. You may unsubscribe from the RealGame newsletters at will, by sending an email to us. Teacher personal data can also be used in surveys on RealGame simulation services, in order to get Teacher feedback on present services and possible service development ideas. Personal data may be used for ensuring the security of RealGame and its users, preventing the misuse of services and protecting RealGame property. Finally, personal data may used for technical development of RealGame services and ensuring service functionality.
Participant data is entered to the system by the decision of the Teacher. If Participant data is entered, the data may be used to deliver simulation company user names and passwords to the Participants. This is the only use for the Participant data entered in the RealGame system.
What is the legal basis for processing personal data?
RealGame will only process personal data when the data is needed in providing RealGame simulation services to the Teacher and the Participants. The nature of this use is informed to our license customers in the license agreement document. For other than our license customers, the nature of the use of personal data is informed either orally or by email, by providing a link to this web page (http://info.realgame.cloud/PrivacyStatement.htm).

The Teacher can at any time object to the processing of Teacher personal data, but at the same time the Teacher looses the possibility of creating and running RealGame simulation sessions. The Participants can at any time object to the processing of their personal data, but at the same time the Participants may loose access to their simulation company.
